Bombardier Wins Modern Signalling Contracts in Pakistan

Bombardier Transportation, in consortium with China Railway Signal & Communication Corp (CRSC), (Principals of Equinox (Pvt) Ltd.) has won an order to deliver the BOMBARDIER INTERFLO 200 mainline signalling solution on the Shahdrah Bagh to Khanewal and Khanewal to Lodhran Double Line Section of the Karachi-Lahore line in Pakistan. The contract, valued at approximately 130 million USD, was awarded by Pakistan Railways (PR).

Leading the consortium, Bombardier is responsible for the design, manufacture, supply,
installation and commissioning of the modern signalling system on a turn-key basis for the 383 km line which includes 31 stations. The scope will include Bombardier’s globally
installed EBI Lock 950 computer-based interlocking (CBI) and EBI Screen 2000 control centre systems and Automatic Train Protection (ATP). This is the second project in the planned upgrade of the Karachi-Lahore line to modernize the signalling systems in Pakistan and will be the first electronic interlockings and ATP to be delivered in Pakistan.
